Short notes on design work I rate, and why. A new pick most days.

Mattia Saggiomo homepage: a warm dark video plays behind a monospace index of five projects, each with client, title, role and year

Inspiration

The credits-index layout: Mattia Saggiomo lists his reel like film end-credits

Izanami homepage: a near-black screen with fog drifting through the middle, a small serif line reading Remember who you are, a square carved IZANAMI seal top left, and two live clocks for Dubai and Tokyo in the footer

Top Picks

Izanami lets one carved seal hold up an almost empty hero

Inspiration

Bracketed labels: Serotoninn runs its whole shop like a spec sheet

Koto's Stack Overflow case study hero: a black page titled Stack Overflow, Always in Build, TECH 2026, with an orange-framed video showing the words Always in on a yellow block, above the heading A legacy recoded

Industry

Stack Overflow rebranded around the answer an LLM can't scrape

Jeton home page: a stack of translucent chips fanning out on a warm pink-to-orange gradient, with the headline One app for all needs

Websites

Jeton named itself after a chip, then built the whole site out of chips

The Normal is Boring home page on a warm off-white background, a grotesque headline ending in the italic serif word ordinario, with a photo of a minimalist oak-and-limestone interior on the right

Top Picks

Normal is Boring saves the italic serif for the word that matters

Industry

Coca-Cola shipped one visual system, and the rulebook now compiles

Webflow's Custom Fonts in Libraries release page, with the Designer's Libraries panel showing a Library called Doggo listing 35 components, 103 variables and 5 fonts above a blue Share updates button

Tools

Webflow started counting fonts the way it counts components

Zauberberg home page: an alphabetical column of director names in grey, with Hank Perlman highlighted in white, over a full-bleed film still of an animated gecko on a bar table

Websites

Zauberberg makes the director list the whole home page

Dragonfly homepage hero: an ASCII-art dragonfly in white characters on black, with the word DRAGONFLY in large orange type across the middle

Top Picks

Dragonfly pins its name to the four corners and lets the page move inside it

The Beats in Space home page: a row of mix cards with DJ names, durations and genre tags, a yellow player bar, and a menu of eight cells each with a plus sign

Inspiration

Panel navigation: Beats in Space never leaves the page

The Bud app interface with a banner reading The Bud team is joining Figma, under the headline Your AI Worker

Industry

Figma bought the team on 7 July, and the apps went dark on the 18th

Linear's Introducing Loops changelog entry dated July 20, 2026, with a dark video of a rotating dial engraved with event labels

Tools

Linear's Loops put recurring work on a page the whole team can read
